KENORA BANTAMS 1,,2,3 AND MIDGET ORANGE CRUSH SILVER!
The home Bantam Midget Tournament was held January 8-10 2010. In the Bantam Divsion the 3-0 LOW White Lightning and 3-0 Avalance met in the all Kenora Final. White Lighthing advancing with a5-2 win over Portage, 4-0 over Gateway, 3-1 ove FF Wild and a 3-1 semi-final win over FF BDO Stars. The Avalance won 11-0 over Red Lake, 3-0 of FF BDO, 2-0 over Gateway and semi-final 1-0 win over LOW Red Fury. The gold was won by White Lightning 3-1 over the Avalanche. White Lightning markers were Kayla Markham, and 2 from Lindy Bailey. Ainsley Linquist scored the loan goal for the Avalanche. The LOW Red Fury captured the Bronze with a 1-0 OT win onver FF BDO Stars with a goal by Maddie Trudeau.
In Midget the LOW Orange Crush med the undefeated Notre Dame Star in the the Final. Crush advanced with a 7-1 win over FF DK Trucking and 1-0 over the FF Wildcats, losing only to the Stars in the round robin. The Cursh lost the stars in the final 2-1 with Nicole Ginn scoring their only goal. The LOW Predators and the LOW T/HD also participated in the midget divsion finishing 4th and 7th respectively.
