UFO CHALLENGE

  Are you like many of us? Did you make a new Year's Resolution to finish one UFO before starting a new project? Or, did you take the more serious route of resolving to finish your whole UFO collection? Well, the UFO Challenge is your answer. The UFO Challenge is for everyone who wanSt to shrink their UFO pile.

The UFO challenge has begun, but it is not too late to get in on the action, shrink your pile of UFOs, possibly win a prize, not to mention the increased sense of satifaction of another quilt completed. The contest will end on Thursday, May 8, 2008.This Challenge is presented both by the guild and the Quilter's Quarters - prizes are sponsored by Quilter's Quarters and will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Registration forms are available at Quilters Quarters.

Mandatory conditions include:
- registering planned completions
-reporting compeltions to Donna at the May 8th guild meeting
-display of completed UFOs at the guild meeting on June 12th.

  New members are always welcome at the Lake of the Woods Quilter's Guild..

The guild meets the second Thursday of each month (with a few exceptions) at St. Louis Parish Hall in Keewatin at 7:00 p.m. Come out and check out our meetings. In addition to the general business portion of the meeting, there are education segments for all levels of quilters and a Show and Tell section for members to share their creations with other quilters. It's so inspiring. Come spend an evening with us - and if you like us, you an contact Lynne Lark, our memberhsip chairperson, for details.
