Kenora Century Cinema Stars Novice Hockey Team won the "A" Side Championship at the local tournament over the weekend. "We were very pleased with the hard work and determination exhibited by the kids,” said the club’s co-coach Dean Caron.
“They illustrated a lot of character, never giving up, aggressively digging and playing smart defensive hockey. It was truly a team effort. They played the best hockey of their young lives.
“The team played with great sportsmanship only receiving one minor penalty over five games. It’s a pleasure coaching these kids and we are very proud of outstanding effort and sportsmanship they put forth.” |
